Welcome to The Oil Region Handbell Festival!
This year we continue to celebrate OIL 150 in Titusville with a special presentation of Bud Baird's 1959 piano and choral piece, 'Drake's Well', to which we have commissioned Howard E. Moser, Jr. of Glenshaw, PA to arrange a handbell piece. Upon your registration to ORHF we will send you a complimentary copy to distribute to your handbell choir. Registration deadline is October 23, 2009.
The'Battle Hymn of The Republic' arranged by Dobrinski has also been given a LV I piece of music, arranged by Mr. Moser, to be given to you upon registration, if needed. We are able to give you a complimentary copy IF YOU HAVE IN YOUR POSSESION the original score by Cynthia Dobrinski. This arrangement does not stand alone.
The day will start at 8:00 am with set up and coffee and donuts (a donation is appreciated)
9:00 am - 5:50 PM will be time of workshop and divisional practice. Please see the 2009 Day's Schedule. You may pack your lunch or visit Titusville's local faire.
The Banquet sign up is listed on the registration to ORHF and includes the choice of 1/4 chicken (leg and thigh) OR pulled pork. Homemade potato salad and baked beans will accompany the meal. A PIZZA PARTY (Please fill out form so we know how many to expect.) is also offered to those of high school age and below. Everyone will have a side salad, drink and cake for dessert.
ORHF shirts will be available for purchase the day of the festival from Bluegill Graphix. The black shirts will be printed on site. We encourage ALL festival participants to purchase a t-shirt or polo this year in honor of OIL 150. Prices range from $9.00 - $20.00
